Nirgun poetry

Kabir

The voice that refuses every frame.

Weaver, poet, provocateur. Kabir turns ordinary speech against every certainty that would make the boundless into a possession.

The provocation

राम निरंजन न्यारा रे,
अंजन सकल पसारा रे।
Ram, the stainless, stands apart; anjan is all this vast display.

What remains when every image of truth is seen as an image?

Kabir subjects sacred sound, divine form, scripture, learning, worship, merit, and spiritual identity to the same test. If the mind can hold it as an object, has it reached Niranjan?
